Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape by Huang Ding was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 36,000.00 (€ 3,615.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Ding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,335,000.00 (€ 316,474.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape von Huang Ding im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 36.000,00 (€ 3.615,99) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Ding erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.335.000,00 (€ 316.474,18).
