This artwork by Huang Ding achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Autumn Evening sold for HKD 348,000.00 (€ 33,136.70) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Ding have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,335,000.00 (€ 316,474.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 93 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Ding erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Autumn Evening für HKD 348.000,00 (€ 33.136,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Ding auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.335.000,00 (€ 316.474,18).
