In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction, the work Why Shop for New Fashion When You Are Naturally Stylish sold for HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 168,119.08) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Benrei Huang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Theory of Leisure: Social Distancing Edition sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
