This artwork by Benrei Huang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Bunnies Don'T Fly, Wind Makes Them (Painted In 2013) sold for HKD 156,000.00 (€ 159,306.52) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 85,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Benrei Huang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Theory of Leisure: Social Distancing Edition sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 84 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Benrei Huang erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Bunnies Don'T Fly, Wind Makes Them (Painted In 2013) für HKD 156.000,00 (€ 159.306,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 85.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Benrei Huang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Theory of Leisure: Social Distancing Edition im April diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65).
