This artwork by Benrei Huang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Back Fire (Painted In 2012) sold for HKD 168,000.00 (€ 171,560.87) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 85,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Benrei Huang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Theory of Leisure: Social Distancing Edition sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Benrei Huang erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Back Fire (Painted In 2012) für HKD 168.000,00 (€ 171.560,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 85.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Benrei Huang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Theory of Leisure: Social Distancing Edition im April diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65).
