It achieved a price of HKD 74,400.00 (€ 8,275.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hua Shikui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,257.89).
