Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script by Hua Shikui. The price achieved of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,755.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 2,400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hua Shikui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,257.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script von Hua Shikui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.755,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 2.400,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hua Shikui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 30.257,89).
