Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script by Hua Shikui was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,135.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hua Shikui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,257.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script von Hua Shikui wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.135,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hua Shikui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 30.257,89).
