In April 2021 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work The Desk of Lu Xun by Hsiung Ping-Ming. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 840,000.00 (€ 89,935.16), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hsiung Ping-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,320,000.00 (€ 1,347,978.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Desk of Lu Xun von Hsiung Ping-Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 89.935,16) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hsiung Ping-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.320.000,00 (€ 1.347.978,26).
