Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Cow with a Flat Belly(Executed in 1997-1998) by Hsiung Ping-Ming was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 840,000.00 (€ 107,642.44), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hsiung Ping-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,320,000.00 (€ 1,347,978.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Cow with a Flat Belly(Executed in 1997-1998) von Hsiung Ping-Ming wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 107.642,44) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hsiung Ping-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.320.000,00 (€ 1.347.978,26).
