Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Looking at the Mirror by Hsiung Ping-Ming. It changed hands for a price of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 10,278.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hsiung Ping-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,320,000.00 (€ 1,347,978.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Looking at the Mirror von Hsiung Ping-Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 10.278,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hsiung Ping-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.320.000,00 (€ 1.347.978,26).
