The work Banner Series by Hsiung Ping-Ming was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 576,000.00 (€ 61,669.83), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hsiung Ping-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,320,000.00 (€ 1,347,978.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Banner Series von Hsiung Ping-Ming wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 576.000,00 (€ 61.669,83) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hsiung Ping-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.320.000,00 (€ 1.347.978,26).
