Auction result well in line with expectations

In September 2018 POLY held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Graphic Cat by Hsiung Ping-Ming. It changed hands for a price of HKD 330,400.00 (€ 36,360.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hsiung Ping-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,320,000.00 (€ 1,347,978.26).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im September 2018 führte POLY die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Graphic Cat von Hsiung Ping-Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 330.400,00 (€ 36.360,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hsiung Ping-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.320.000,00 (€ 1.347.978,26).
