Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A: Mountain Landscape With Pine Trees; B: Pears; C: Birds; D: Pine; E: Pigeons; F: Mountain View; G: Grapes With Birds; H: Still Life With Flowers; I: Owl; J: Lotus And Fish Ten Works by Hsiung Ping-Ming was sold in the Modern Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,492.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hsiung Ping-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,320,000.00 (€ 1,347,978.26).

Die Arbeit A: Mountain Landscape With Pine Trees; B: Pears; C: Birds; D: Pine; E: Pigeons; F: Mountain View; G: Grapes With Birds; H: Still Life With Flowers; I: Owl; J: Lotus And Fish Ten Works von Hsiung Ping-Ming wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.492,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hsiung Ping-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.320.000,00 (€ 1.347.978,26).
