In November last year Christies in New York held the auction 20th Century Evening Sale, which included this untitled work by Howardena Pindell. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,071,000.00 (€ 1,037,489.10), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Howardena Pindell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of USD 1,502,000.00 (€ 1,376,971.03).

Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Howardena Pindell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.071.000,00 (€ 1.037.489,10) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Howardena Pindell; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.502.000,00 (€ 1.376.971,03).
