This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 900.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howardena Pindell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of USD 1,502,000.00 (€ 1,376,971.03).
