Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2007 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works, which included the work Australian Untitled by Howard Arkley. The price achieved of AUD 24,000.00 (€ 14,351.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Howard Arkley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Untitled in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 180,000.00 (€ 110,678.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2007 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Untitled von Howard Arkley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 24.000,00 (€ 14.351,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Howard Arkley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Untitled im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 180.000,00 (€ 110.678,66).
