Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Howard Arkley could be acquired at Sothebys in Sydney in April 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Paintings auction, the work Australian Shadow Factories changed hands for AUD 156,000.00 (€ 94,383.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 180,000.00 – 220,000.00. Other works by Howard Arkley have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2007 by the work Australian Untitled at AUD 180,000.00 (€ 110,678.66).
