A top price for Howard Arkley - as previously expected
The work Australian Untitled by Howard Arkley was auctioned at Sothebys in Sydney in May 2007. The price achieved of AUD 180,000.00 (€ 110,678.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Australian Untitled is the most expensive artwork by Howard Arkley that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Australian Untitled von Howard Arkley kam im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 180.000,00 (€ 110.678,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Australian Untitled das teuerste Kunstwerk von Howard Arkley, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
