Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a young lady, half-length, in a white and blue dress with pearls by Horace Hone was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,266.99). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Horace Hone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Sir William Forbes, 6Th Bt. Of Pitsligo (1739-1806), which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,916.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a young lady, half-length, in a white and blue dress with pearls von Horace Hone kam im Januar 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.266,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Horace Hone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Sir William Forbes, 6Th Bt. Of Pitsligo (1739-1806) beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.916,33) versteigert wurde.
