Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Lady by Horace Hone was sold in the Important Miniatures from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,967.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Horace Hone have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2017 the work Portrait Of Sir William Forbes, 6Th Bt. Of Pitsligo (1739-1806) was auctioned for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,916.33).
