Upper estimate price exceeded by 34 %.
The work Poems of Folklores by Emperor Qianlong was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 403,200.00 (€ 48,749.81), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emperor Qianlong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Replanted Wutong Studio in December this year with an auction result of HKD 18,525,000.00 (€ 2,143,554.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Poems of Folklores von Emperor Qianlong wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 403.200,00 (€ 48.749,81) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emperor Qianlong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Replanted Wutong Studio im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.525.000,00 (€ 2.143.554,51).
