The work Replanted Wutong Studio by Emperor Qianlong was worth HKD 18,525,000.00 (€ 2,143,554.51) to a buyer in December this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 5,000,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Replanted Wutong Studio the most expensive artwork by Emperor Qianlong that we have observed at auctions so far.
