The work Manuscript Of The Preface Of Hanfeizi by Emperor Qianlong was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 148,393.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 73%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emperor Qianlong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Replanted Wutong Studio in December this year with an auction result of HKD 18,525,000.00 (€ 2,143,554.51).

Die Arbeit Manuscript Of The Preface Of Hanfeizi von Emperor Qianlong wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 148.393,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 73%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emperor Qianlong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Replanted Wutong Studio im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.525.000,00 (€ 2.143.554,51).
