Auction result well in line with expectations
The work First And Second Edit Of The Preface Of Sutra In Manchu by Emperor Qianlong was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 2,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 128,157.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emperor Qianlong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Replanted Wutong Studio in December this year with an auction result of HKD 18,525,000.00 (€ 2,143,554.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit First And Second Edit Of The Preface Of Sutra In Manchu von Emperor Qianlong wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 128.157,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emperor Qianlong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Replanted Wutong Studio im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.525.000,00 (€ 2.143.554,51).
