The work Sutra by Hong Wu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 391,500.00 (€ 32,230.82), 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Wu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 826,000.00 (€ 94,318.08).

Die Arbeit Sutra von Hong Wu wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 391.500,00 (€ 32.230,82) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Wu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 826.000,00 (€ 94.318,08) versteigert wurde.
