Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Girl with Fan by Hong Viet Dung was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 62,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 70,400.00 (€ 8,438.22). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Viet Dung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure, which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 17,294.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Girl with Fan von Hong Viet Dung wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 62.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 70.400,00 (€ 8.438,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Viet Dung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 17.294,43) versteigert wurde.
