Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reflection 1 by Hong Viet Dung was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 70,125.00 (€ 7,800.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Viet Dung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure, which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 17,294.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reflection 1 von Hong Viet Dung wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.125,00 (€ 7.800,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Viet Dung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 17.294,43) versteigert wurde.
