Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape by Hong Viet Dung was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,847.72). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Viet Dung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure, which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 17,294.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape von Hong Viet Dung im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.847,72) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Viet Dung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 17.294,43) versteigert wurde.
