A top price for Hong Tong - as previously expected
In October 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Asian Art, which included the work White Moon by Hong Tong. The price achieved of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 105,563.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, White Moon is the most expensive artwork by Hong Tong that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Moon von Hong Tong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 105.563,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist White Moon das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hong Tong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
