Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hong Tong could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART auction, the work Festival changed hands for HKD 239,000.00 (€ 26,496.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Tong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White Moon, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 937,500.00 (€ 105,563.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hong Tong konnte im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART wechselte die Arbeit Festival für HKD 239.000,00 (€ 26.496,08) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Tong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White Moon beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 937.500,00 (€ 105.563,89) versteigert wurde.
