Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tree Of Togetherness by Hong Tong was sold in the Modern Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,965.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Tong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White Moon, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 937,500.00 (€ 105,563.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tree Of Togetherness von Hong Tong wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.965,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Tong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White Moon beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 937.500,00 (€ 105.563,89) versteigert wurde.
