Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tree of Togetherness by Hong Tong was sold in the 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART & ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2004. It changed hands for a price of HKD 239,000.00 (€ 24,076.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hong Tong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Moon in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 105,563.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tree of Togetherness von Hong Tong wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART & ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 239.000,00 (€ 24.076,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Tong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Moon im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 105.563,89).
