A top price for Hong Lei - as previously expected
The work Speak, Memory by Hong Lei was auctioned at Phillips in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Speak, Memory is the most expensive artwork by Hong Lei that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Speak, Memory von Hong Lei kam im Mai 2008 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Speak, Memory das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hong Lei, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
