Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Autumn In The Forbidden City (East Veranda) by Hong Lei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,112.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Lei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Speak, Memory in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Autumn In The Forbidden City (East Veranda) von Hong Lei kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.112,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Lei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Speak, Memory im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
