This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Hong Lei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Speak, Memory in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 10.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Lei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Speak, Memory im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
