Auction result well in line with expectations
The work After The Song Dynasty Painting "A Picture Of Loquats And Mountain Birds" By Zhao Ji; After The Song Dynasty Painting "Secret Fragrance And Dappled Shadows" By Ma Lin (Set Of 2) by Hong Lei was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011. It changed hands for a price of HKD 32,500.00 (€ 2,824.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 24,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hong Lei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Speak, Memory in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).

Die Arbeit After The Song Dynasty Painting "A Picture Of Loquats And Mountain Birds" By Zhao Ji; After The Song Dynasty Painting "Secret Fragrance And Dappled Shadows" By Ma Lin (Set Of 2) von Hong Lei wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 32.500,00 (€ 2.824,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 24.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Lei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Speak, Memory im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
