In May 2009 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Van Gogh and a Robin carried by a storm by Hong Kyoung Tack. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,160,000.00 (€ 105,932.32), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hong Kyoung Tack have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kyong Tack Hong (b. 1968) in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 6,630,000.00 (€ 657,486.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Van Gogh and a Robin carried by a storm von Hong Kyoung Tack zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.160.000,00 (€ 105.932,32) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Kyoung Tack auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kyong Tack Hong (b. 1968) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.630.000,00 (€ 657.486,91).
