Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pencil by Hong Kyoung Tack was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. The price achieved of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 21,688.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 260,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Kyoung Tack achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kyong Tack Hong (b. 1968) in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 6,630,000.00 (€ 657,486.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pencil von Hong Kyoung Tack wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 21.688,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 260.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Kyoung Tack erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kyong Tack Hong (b. 1968) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.630.000,00 (€ 657.486,91).
