Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Library 10 by Hong Kyoung Tack was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The price achieved of HKD 1,687,500.00 (€ 138,925.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hong Kyoung Tack have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kyong Tack Hong (b. 1968) in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 6,630,000.00 (€ 657,486.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Library 10 von Hong Kyoung Tack kam im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.687.500,00 (€ 138.925,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Kyoung Tack auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kyong Tack Hong (b. 1968) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.630.000,00 (€ 657.486,91).
