Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rite Of Red by Hon Chi Fun was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,633.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hon Chi Fun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hsiang 65-5, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,480.59).

Die Arbeit Rite Of Red von Hon Chi Fun wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.633,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hon Chi Fun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hsiang 65-5 beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.480,59) versteigert wurde.
