It achieved a price of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,040.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by Hon Chi Fun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hsiang 65-5 in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,480.59).

Die Arbeit Hsiang 65-5 von Hon Chi Fun wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.040,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hon Chi Fun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hsiang 65-5 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.480,59).
