In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Another Depth by Hon Chi Fun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 43,750.00 (€ 5,056.69), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hon Chi Fun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hsiang 65-5 in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,480.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Another Depth von Hon Chi Fun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 5.056,69) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hon Chi Fun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hsiang 65-5 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.480,59).
