The work Bright Encounter by Hon Chi Fun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The result of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,462.72) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hon Chi Fun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hsiang 65-5 in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,480.59).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Bright Encounter von Hon Chi Fun kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.462,72) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hon Chi Fun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hsiang 65-5 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.480,59).
