Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Lamp by Hon Chew Hee. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 28,312.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hon Chew Hee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Weaving Shop, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 812,500.00 (€ 75,567.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lamp von Hon Chew Hee zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 28.312,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hon Chew Hee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Weaving Shop beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 812.500,00 (€ 75.567,77) versteigert wurde.
