Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yamato no Oyose Great Gathering of Japan by Hishikawa Moronobu was sold in the JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING LACQUER AND WORKS OF ART auction at Christies in London in November 2003. The price achieved of GBP 3,346.00 (€ 4,803.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hishikawa Moronobu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauty turning her head, c. 1690 in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 56,179.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yamato no Oyose Great Gathering of Japan von Hishikawa Moronobu wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING LACQUER AND WORKS OF ART bei Christies in London versteigert.
