Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lovers in an Interior beside a Folding Screen by Hishikawa Moronobu was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,489.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hishikawa Moronobu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauty turning her head, c. 1690 in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 56,179.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lovers in an Interior beside a Folding Screen von Hishikawa Moronobu kam im Juli 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.489,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hishikawa Moronobu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauty turning her head, c. 1690 im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 56.179,78).
