A top price for Hishikawa Moronobu - as previously expected
The work Beauty turning her head, c. 1690 by Hishikawa Moronobu was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2009. The price achieved of USD 74,500.00 (€ 56,179.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Beauty turning her head, c. 1690 is the most expensive artwork by Hishikawa Moronobu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Beauty turning her head, c. 1690 von Hishikawa Moronobu wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert.
