Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session), which included this untitled work by Hisao Dōmoto. The price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,751.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hisao Dōmoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 86,686.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hisao Dōmoto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 25.751,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hisao Dōmoto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 86.686,12) versteigert wurde.
