Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Solutions de Continuités 1963-52 (Solutions of Continuities 1963-52) by Hisao Dōmoto. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,947.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hisao Dōmoto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 86,686.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Solutions de Continuités 1963-52 (Solutions of Continuities 1963-52) von Hisao Dōmoto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.947,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hisao Dōmoto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 86.686,12).
